If you’ve lived in New Jersey for a while, you know that it can get disgustingly hot and humid. However, during the swimming pool season, it can also get a little cool. Don’t let nights that are a little chilly spoil your summer pool fun! Instead, why not add fire features by the pool? Having something warm next to you while you’re watching the kids swim makes a wonderful addition to your pool area. It also makes a nice design feature for your yard. Who wouldn’t like the interplay of fire and water? If you are looking for a fire feature to add to your pool, here are some ideas.

Fire Bowls

Have you seen a fire bowl? They come in a variety of shapes and colors to match your house and pool décor. Usually, fire bowls are a standalone feature. You can place them close to a table to provide extra warmth. We have also placed them near outdoor seating areas. Fire bowls are usually connected to a small propane tank that provides the gas. Wood and matches can cause a lot of smoke. On the other hand, propane burns more cleanly. After all, no one wants to have a conversation in the middle of a smoky backdrop! Fire bowls give you a way to keep warm and enjoy your company when the nights turn a little chilly.

Fire Pits

If you have a large backyard, you might want to consider having a fire pit instead of a fire bowl. A pool with a fire pit makes a beautiful addition to your home. You could also do a combination. Some people put fire bowls closer to the pool and have fire pits farther away. While propane tanks operate the fire bowls, firewood usually operates the fire pits. Like fire bowls, fire pits can be as large or as small as you want. Do you have a large yard? You might want to think about placing fire bowls in an outdoor seating area away from the pool. Imagine having your kids or grandkids around a fire pit and roasting marshmallows for s’mores. They could also wrap themselves up in towels and warm themselves after a long day in the pool. Fire pits also make romantic gathering spots, which is always a nice way to end the day.

People who have very large backyards also combine fire pits and fire bowls to add drama. Place the fire bowls closer to the pool, and the fire pits farther away. Imagine your yard at your next get-together when people see the amazing scene you’ve created!

Custom Looks

If you want something else other than the traditional fire bowl or fire pit, we have you covered. Perhaps you were thinking about an outdoor fireplace as part of an outdoor kitchen and entertainment area. We can do that. Maybe you were thinking that you don’t want the traditional round fire pit, but something rectangular to match your pool. We can do that, too. In fact, when it comes to outdoor fire and water features, we can get really creative.
